Dear Ladies and Gentlements,

April 22, 1970, the United States held the first massive "Earth Day" activities. This is the first ever large-scale human mass environmental movement & event worldwide. The beginning of the modern environmental movement, "Earth Day" activities aim to promote the establishment of several national environmental laws and regulations. April 22, 1990, more than 140 countries worldwide, 2 billion people around the world at the same time in a variety of environmental protection campaigns, called for improving the overall global environment. The United Nations affirmed this activities, and on April 22, 2009, the 63rd United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution to next year's April 22 as "World Earth Day."

The Earth is our common home, but human activities always caused severe damage to the earth. Biological survival lives depend on the forests, lakes and wetlands, nowadays are disappearing at an alarming rate; on one hand, coal, oil, natural gas and other non-renewable energy sources face depletion due to over-exploitation; in the other hands, energy combustion emissions of large quantities of greenhouse gases that cause global warming, which caused by melting polar ice caps, rising sea levels and other issues threatening human survival and development.

The "Earth Day Network" organized the "World Earth Day" activities aim to raise human caring for the earth, protect the homeland awareness, resource effective development and environmental protection to promote coordinated and sustainable development.

On 22 April , 2011 is the 42th "World Earth Day". The encouragement of the United Nations and its project of "Billion Trees Plan" in the coming years which encourages us to organize the first project worldwide - Million Trees Project - International Plantation Day 2011.4.23, that is an activity aims to promote to all of the earth villagers about the importance of afforestation and the underlying significance of environmental conservation education.
